Social Responsibility

AccTech Systems believes in the power of education and developing the leaders of tomorrow for a brighter future for all. As part of our Uplifting ’15 programme, AccTech Systems has partnered with the upliftment initiative from Partners for Possibility. The main principle of the programme is to have business leaders and principals work together to mobilise people to put schools at the centre of their community.

Partners forpossibilitiesLAEZONIA LOGOAccTech Systems has partnered with Laezonia Primary School to uplift the school, teachers and making it a better environment for the young learners. The school is close to Diepsloot informal village in Gauteng.

wishlist2Since we joined this programme, our CFO Eric van der Merwe, has been meeting with the principal and senior management on a regular basis to identify programmes which will improve the school’s Annual National Assessment (ANA) score. The ANA are standardised national assessments for languages and mathematics in the intermediate phase (grades 4 – 6) and in literacy and numeracy for the foundation phase (grades 1 – 3).

Furthermore as a business partner to the principal our CFO have attended numerous workshops with the principal looking at leadership skills (Time to Think and Flawless Consulting). CFO and the principal also meet on a regular basis whereby the CFO acts as a mentor and sound board for the principal.

We want to do more for the school, than just the leadership assistance.

We have identified 4 primary areas that needs Upliftment.

1. The children’s library
2. The kitchen
3. The school’s property
4. The vegetable garden

buiteareaOn Mandela day, the 18th of July, AccTech Staff and family members will be at the school making our 67 minutes of Upliftment count by finishing the first part of our Uplifting’15 programme. The school children together with their community will learn how to plant seeds and look after their own garden. We will paint walls, make repairs to the class rooms and have fun with the children, playing soccer and netball. We have drafted a wish list of all the items that are needed to complete this project.

AccTech is therefore asking for any contribution towards this wish list. Sponsorship of between R2000-R5000 will be greatly appreciated.

Sponsors’ logos will be featured on a big billboard outside the school and they will be mentioned in all press releases.

All possible contributions and questions can be communicated to Eric van der Merwe at AccTech Systems.
