[Johannesburg, 15 March 2006] – Africa’s top Softline Sage ERP Accpac Business partner, AccTech Systems, has been nominated as one of South Africa’s leading companies in the Proudly South African Homegrown Awards 2005.

AccTech Systems has been nominated in the Exporter of the Year category for globally exporting its locally developed business process application, AccTech eWorkflow. It is also been acknowledged for exporting its experience, knowledge and expertise within the African continent via the AccTech Alliance franchise model.

“As an IT company competing against some of South Africa’s top corporations, this nomination is a great honour for us,” says Tertius Zitzke, managing director, AccTech Systems. “We’ve invested a lot of time and effort over the past 24 months into developing our exporting model and are now reaping the rewards. In addition to the launching of three more provincial offices, we’ve opened AccTech Alliance branches in Namibia, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Zambia, Malawi and Tanzania in little more than a year.”

Zitzke says that creating top of mind awareness in the international market for AccTech eWorkflow has been a great challenge: “We’ve been focusing our marketing efforts on international exhibitions, traveling to virtually every continent on the globe and its working. Accpac’s international partners have started to grasp the potential of the AccTech eWorkflow and we are now receiving international queries for the product on a daily basis.”

The Proudly South African nomination follows shortly after AccTech’s recent success at Softline Sage ERP Accpac’s reseller awards. The company was awarded the top Accpac reseller for Africa. “Being recognised as an industry leader by our peers was once again a great achievement for us. The Proudly South African nomination, however, places us in an entirely different league. The fact that we are being recognised for exporting our IT products and skills is a feather in the cap of the South African IT industry.”

Winners of the Homegrown awards will be announced in May 2006 at the new Department of Trade and Industry Campus in Pretoria.
